FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Contact: Bill Horn, IVGID General Manager IVGID Board reinstates domestic partner benefits INCLINE VILLAGE, NV: On March 11, 2009 during an expressive outpouring from the community members of Incline Village and Crystal Bay, the Incline Village GID Board of Trustees reversed their decision regarding Domestic Partners health benefits of February 25, 2009, which had threatened to take away health benefits from District employees in Domestic Partnerships. The spirited debate at the Board level invited an outstanding dialogue between the Trustees and dozens of community members who spoke in favor of the Trustees reversing their earlier decision. During the community members poignant pleas for reversal, words like equality, diversity, trust, community and fairness were repeated again and again. At the conclusion of the Trustees public interaction with the community members in the audience, the Trustees voted to overturn their previous resolution.
